Trees, climate and the coast
Our impact: we plant trees, and keep our feet on the ground
We live and work among the terraces and sea of the Amalfi Coast. We care about this landscape and the climate that makes it possible. That is why we plant trees with Treedom, and why we try to talk about it honestly.
Why we care
Scoast was born in Maiori. Every day we ride the same road we help travellers discover: bends above the sea, dry-stone walls, lemon gardens clinging to the rock. It is a landscape built with patience, and a fragile one.
Climate change affects places like this too. We don't have every answer, but we believe a company that lives from travel should do its part and say so clearly.
What we do
A concrete commitment, told without exaggeration.
We plant trees with Treedom
Scoast has a profile on Treedom, the platform that lets you plant trees and follow their projects. Up-to-date details, from projects to trees, are published there.
The climate is close to home
Climate change touches the very landscape we work in. Caring for it is part of how we think about travel.
Transparency on Treedom
The projects we support are described and kept up to date on Scoast's Treedom profile, where anyone can look them up.
Planting trees does not make a trip zero-impact
We want to be clear: planting trees is a worthwhile act, but it does not erase the emissions of a journey. Flights, car journeys, scooters and stays all still have an impact.
That is why we don't describe our services as carbon neutral or zero-impact. Planting trees is one part of our commitment to the climate, alongside a more thoughtful way of travelling.
How to travel the coast with more care
Small choices anyone can make, with or without us.
Slow down
Stay longer in one place and discover one village at a time instead of chasing the whole coast in a day.
Share the ride
Riding two-up on a scooter or sharing a transfer means fewer vehicles on the coastal road.
Walk when you can
Many paths and stairways link the villages: they are often the most beautiful way to see the landscape.
Respect the places
Take your rubbish with you, carry a refillable bottle and stay on marked trails, especially in wooded areas.

The coast is better experienced slowly
If you want to explore it by scooter, we are here to help you do it with respect for the road, the people and the landscape.
